PhoneVoice is a 1x1 widget that turns on or off reading out who is calling you or sending you a message. When a call or message comes in, if the volume is on, it will say the name of the contact. Useful for the cases, when you drive, work, etc.

It is an open source project inspired by TTSNotifier on Xda-Developers.

Note: The widget requires that you have Android 1.6+ platform and Text To Speech data installed.
